After purchasing several cars throughout the years for either my wife, son or myself the cars usually came with one key. Well 2 keys are needed at least since one may be with a spouse or son OR the key gets lost. I think we can all agree here.
After paying $200 - $400, 3 times for 3 different vehicles for keys I had enough.
I started to learn how to cut keys and program fobs (from YouTube).
The equipment was not cheap, but I thought in the long run it will pay itself.
I started to offer my services around the neighborhood for a small fee.
I offer low rates since I don't see why companies have to charge $200 - $600 to purchase and program a key. Its way way too much. Thus me starting this venture.

No, I do not have a stock of keys. I can buy them for you or you can buy them as well. I do not mind helping you find the right key.
I usually check Amazon first since we can return keys there without an issue (in case it does not work)
If I cannot find a key on Amazon or its too expensive I go with ebay. With eBay you cannot return, therefore there is a risk for that.

Yes, if you need me to cut and program a key we can talk about a discount.
If you have more than 1 vehicle we can also work something out.

No, I do not charge if services are not rendered.
If you purchased a wrong key (not with my help), a tip for the time spent trying to get the key working would be nice. =)
